Crosspoint Daily Devotional April 21-27
Each day, take time to meditate on the Scripture, reflect on the questions, and pray sincerely. May this devotional deepen your understanding and relationship with Jesus Christ.
Day 1: The Most Important Question
Scripture: Matthew 16:13-15
Reflection: Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” This question is not just historical; it is personal and eternal. Reflect on your own life. Who do you say Jesus is? Reflect on how your answer influences your faith and daily life.
Prayer: Lord, help me to understand the significance of who You are. Open my heart to truly know You and to live in the light of that knowledge.
Day 2: Confession and Foundation
Scripture: Matthew 16:16-18
Reflection: Peter confessed, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” This confession is the foundation of the Church. Reflect on how your confession of faith aligns with Peter’s. How does this foundation affect your role in the Church?
Prayer: Father, thank You for the foundation of faith in Jesus Christ. Strengthen my confession and use me to build Your Church.
Day 3: The Cost of Discipleship
Scripture: Matthew 16:21-23
Reflection: Jesus spoke of His suffering and death, and Peter struggled to understand. Following Jesus means embracing His path, even when it involves sacrifice. Reflect on areas in your life where you resist the cost of discipleship.
Prayer: Jesus, give me the courage to follow You, even when it is difficult. Help me to trust in Your plan and purpose for my life.
Day 4: The Authority of the Kingdom
Scripture: Matthew 16:19
Reflection: Jesus gave His disciples the keys to the kingdom, symbolizing authority and responsibility. Reflect on the authority and responsibility you have as a believer. How can you use your life to advance God’s kingdom?
Prayer: Lord, thank you for entrusting me with the keys to Your kingdom. Guide me to use this authority wisely and for Your glory.
Day 5: Living the Confession
Scripture: John 14:6
Reflection: Jesus declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Reflect on how this truth impacts your daily life. How does knowing Jesus as the way, truth, and life influence your decisions, relationships, and purpose?
Prayer: Father, help me to live out my confession that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. May my life reflect His love and truth to those around me.
